e-Recruiting and Accessibility

May 9, 2017 - In today’s competitive job market, it’s important to recruit from a large and strong candidate pool. The GSA Government-wide IT Accessibility Program would like to call to your attention the work of the Partnership on Employment & Accessible Technology (PEAT). PEAT helps employers find and recruit the best talent by using accessible e-Recruiting. PEAT, a part of the United States Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy, promotes the employment, retention and career advancement of people with disabilities. They do this through the development, adoption and promotion of accessible technology. According to PEAT, building a talent pool of top-notch candidates begins with providing online applications that are accessible to everyone.

To learn more about the benefits of accessible e-Recruiting and the compelling business case for it, take a look at some of the resources below from PEAT:

Employers and human resources professionals can also visit PEAT’s TalentWorks website for additional resources to make their e-Recruiting “technologies accessible to all job seekers–including those with disabilities.”
